This study seeks to understand factors that influence the gut microbiome as people age. The study will also evaluate the relationship of the gut microbiome to other health factors such as liver function, systemic inflammation, cognitive function, and brain inflammation. The study will recruit 120 persons in the Gainesville area, of whom 80 will have HIV infection and 40 will not.
