OPS Administrative Assistant
Alisha is a Master of Public Health student concentrating in Epidemiology. She joined the program through the Combined BS/MPH pathway, which allowed her to take graduate-level public health courses during her undergraduate studies. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in December 2024 and is now a full-time MPH student.
Alisha brings a diverse background in research and community health. During her undergraduate years, she worked in a biochemistry lab studying terpene synthesis before transitioning into clinical research, where she contributed to a thyroid cancer survivorship project and recently published her first first-author paper. She continues to work with this cohort while expanding her interests into maternal and child health epidemiology. Alisha also serves as a Lead Coordinator and member of the Advisory Board for the UF Mobile Outreach Clinic, where she has been involved since May 2023. Her commitment to patient-centered care shines through her work as a Certified Community Health Worker, a role she held with UF HealthStreet from August 2022 to April 2025.
Outside of her academic and professional life, Alisha loves spending time with family and friends, watching movies, reading, and going on long walks.
We’re thrilled to have Alisha as part of the SHARC team and look forward to all she will bring to our community!
