It’s been a tough few months for HIV-related research and funding in the US and in Florida. In the face of these challenges, our collective commitment to advancing research and supporting affected communities is more important than ever. The need for and importance of our work continues. The SHARC team is continuing to work towards our mission of Ending the HIV Epidemic and improving health outcomes for people affected by alcohol and/or HIV. We must stay resilient, despite some of the chaos around us, because what we are doing is important.
In fact, many of our SHARC team and students will be presenting SHARC-related research at local and regional conferences over the next few weeks.
This includes presentations at Public Health and Health Professions Research Days (April 14-15), Emerging Pathogens Research Day (April 17), and our statewide Community Providers and Researchers (CPR) conference (April 22-23). We will provide some highlights of these presentations over the next few newsletters. I am proud of our team and what we do. Keep up the good work!
