Message from the Director

Happy New Year! SHARC has several initiatives going on this spring semester. We are co-hosting an HIV Implementation Science workshop in Jacksonville in February, and we are actively planning for our annual Community Providers Researchers CPR HIV conference in April. Abstracts for the CPR conference are due February 16, and more information about this is included in the information below. We would love to see abstracts submitted from as many of our students, postdocs, faculty, and affiliated community members as possible.

Meanwhile, our Florida Cohort team is preparing to begin enrollment at several Florida Department of Health Clinics this month, and we are working to finalize a follow-up questionnaire that will feature several women’s health issues. Several of our current graduate students are focusing on HIV and women’s health this year.

Please reach out to me or the SHARC team if you have any suggestions or questions that we can help with in the coming year.

Dr. Robert Cook Heashot
