SHARC virtually hosted Dr. Marco Salemi, a professor in the Department of Pathology from the University of Florida College of Medicine on June 18, 2020!

His research interests include molecular epidemiology, intra-host virus evolution, and the application of phylogenetic and population genetic methods to the study of human and simian pathogenic virusespolysaccharides, and environmental persistence of Vibrios.

During the seminar, Dr. Salemi discussed his research in a presentation, “SARS-CoV-2 origin and molecular epidemiology: what we know so far”.
